Sage Leaves, Rubbed
As marketed, sage is an oblate-lanceolate shaped leaf, grayish green in color. It is highly aromatic with a strong, warm, slightly bitter taste.
- Use to flavor pork sausage, pizza sauce, chicken pot pie, meatloaf, sauerbraten, stuffings, cheese, and veal loaf. As a garnish use with pork sausage, poultry stuffing, seasoned bread crumbs.
